Arborjet has announced that Kevin Lewis has joined the company as technical manager for turf and ornamental, golf and specialty markets.

Lewis’s appointment stems from Arborjet’s new partnership with Ecologel, a premier developer and manufacturer of innovative products for water conservation, dust mitigation, plant nutrition, pond and lake management, and anti-fungal coatings. Lewis previously served as Ecologel’s Midwest Technical Sales Manager, where he focused on business development, technical support and product sales.

In his new role, Lewis will be responsible for supporting Arborjet and Ecologel products in the turf, ornamental and golf markets; developing new business around the country; and providing technical knowledge to land care operation, landscape and all other sectors of the green industry.

“Kevin’s in-depth experience in the T&O and golf industries will be a great asset in his new role at Arborjet,” said Russ Davis, President and Chief Operating Officer, Arborjet. “As Arborjet and Ecologel continue developing our environmentally responsible plant health care product lines, Kevin will be instrumental in helping us meet these professionals’ unique needs.”

Before joining Arborjet and Ecologel, Lewis worked as an Agronomic Technical Specialist with John Deere Landscapes, where he supported sales staff and end users in developing sound agronomic programs. Prior to this, Lewis had over 20 years of experience in the golf industry as a superintendent for both private and public golf courses, managing all aspects of course maintenance, staff maintenance and pesticide applications. Lewis is licensed as a commercial applicator in Ohio for turf, general weed control and aquatics, and earned an Applied Sciences degree from Ohio State University in turf grass management.

"Both Arborjet and Ecologel have strong footholds in the T&O and golf industries, and together, these companies will be a valuable resource for those seeking sustainable options,” said Lewis. “I’m excited to be part of a team that is pioneering such innovative approaches. I look forward to supporting our business development efforts and helping increase our reach and technical support across the country.”
