Company highlighted these varieties at the Southern Garden Tour in Knoxville, June 26 to 28.

Agricola Management Group showcased its expanded Expressions Annuals Collection Mixes from the HGTV HOME Plant Collection and preview plants for 2014 during the Knoxville stop of the 2013 Southern Garden Tour, June 26 to 28. The event was held at the University of Tennessee Gardens. The HGTV HOME Plant Collection launched nationwide this spring.

Those attending the Southern Garden Tour saw HGTV HOME Plant Collection Expressions mixes including Confetti Craze, Friendly Fusions, Sassy Sweethearts, Big & Bold, Pop N’ Polish Petunias and Chic Black N’ White, available as mixes in gallons and decorative containers and as individual components in quarts.

According to Randy Hunter, CEO of Agricola Management Group, attendees also had the opportunity to preview 2014 introductions including brand new Pop N’ Polish Petunia varieties, a new series of mini-petunias (Calibrachoa), a new line of geraniums and additional solution-based annuals mixes.

The UT Gardens featured eight acres of trees, shrubs, roses, grasses, annuals, perennials, herbs and vegetables during the Southern Garden Tour. Those attending saw the AAS Flower and Bedding Plant Test Garden and AAS Vegetable Display Garden as well.

The 2013 expanded Expressions Annuals Collection was sold in more than 850 retailers this spring. Forbes Magazine recently named the HGTV HOME Plant Collection among the Top 10 Licensed Brand Extensions of 2012.

The newest Expressions varieties for 2013 include Pop N’ Polish Petunias and Chic Black N’ White. Pop N’ Polish Petunias are proven sun and heat-tolerant petunia varieties bred to produce blooms in both spring and summer. Chic Black N’ White mixes feature the “of-the-moment” color palette of soft blacks and white that’s on trend for Summer 2013.

Expressions Annuals and all of the plant varieties in the HGTV HOME Plant Collection are supported by HGTV Know How!, referring to the plant care tips, landscaping inspiration and gardening ideas featured on the products, online and in retail stores.

The expanded Expressions Annuals Collection features mixed plant varieties in complementary color families that are matched in timing for balanced growth and consistent color. The pre-selected annuals, mixed containers and hanging baskets take the guesswork out of plant selection for the consumer while providing beautiful container gardens that perform well all season with proper care. The annuals also include complementary accent plants in quarts.

This year, the HGTV HOME Plant Collection was available to retailers and independent garden centers nationwide, including the West Coast, the Midwest, New England, New York, the Mid-Atlantic Southeast, the Southwest and Ontario, Canada.
