The grueling heat in North Texas has finally subsided, which means we can go outside. And one of the best places to go during the fall is the Dallas Arboretum. For its autumn celebration, the grounds were filled with more than 50,000 pumpkins, squash and gourds. This year's theme was "It's a Fairy Tale World," which included Cinderella's Pumpkin Village. Four houses based on the classic fairytale were constructed of 1,200 pumpkins and gourds. The details are amazing. Plan a trip out here next fall and see the arboretum's pumpkin creations, as well as the spectacular fall flowers. (www.dallasarboretum.org) — Kelli Rodda
