GIE Media’s Horticulture Group has created a new awards program for the horticultural industries served through its publications Greenhouse Management, Nursery Management and Garden Center. The Horticultural Industries Leadership Awards will pay tribute to individuals who have acted above and beyond their own business or personal interests to make a difference in the lives of their employees, customers, communities or industry. A total of 50 individuals will be recipients of this annual award, one from each state. Additional honors will be given to those individuals — among the 50 state level award recipients — for their exceptional contributions as measured collectively by all 50 award winners. The award recipients will be profiled in a special edition of Greenhouse Management, Nursery Management and Garden Center magazines published in July, and presented during a reception and dinner to be held at this year’s OFA Short Course, July 9-12 in Columbus, Ohio. Deadline for entries is May 1, 2011. Outstanding in their field
