Six new varieties earn prestigious AAS Winner award
All-America Selections, one of North America’s most well-known and respected nonprofit plant trialing organizations, has six impressive new winners that brokers, growers and retailers can still add to their 2022 product mix.
All AAS Winners are trialed throughout North America by professional, independent, volunteer judges who grow new, never-before-sold entries next to comparisons that are considered best-in-class. Only those entries that have superior garden performance, better than the comparisons, are granted the AAS award designation. Click the link below for full descriptions.

Dümmen Orange moves pot and garden mum breeding to the Netherlands
Breeder Dümmen Orange has moved its breeding facilities for pot and garden mums from Fareham (UK) to its location in De Kwakel (the Netherlands). There, newly installed and climate-controlled greenhouse compartments provide stable and monitored conditions for conducting trials.
With this move, Dümmen Orange has centralized its breeding activities for pot and garden Chrysanthemum at one location. This includes building up and maintenance of mother stock, the development of new varieties and the organization of flower trials. At the De Kwakel location, Dümmen Orange has access to a large field for extensive outdoor trials in order to assess the garden performance of its garden mum range.
