Terri McEnaney elected to MNLA board of directors

Terri McEnaney, CEO of Bailey Nurseries, was recently elected to a two-year term on the board of directors for the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association (MNLA).

McEnaney is a fourth-generation leader in her family’s wholesale nursery business. Since 1905, Bailey Nurseries has remained a family-owned company serving customers in North America and beyond. In addition to their wholesale growing business, Bailey owns globally distributed brands like Endless Summer hydrangeas.

Southern Nursery Association to cease operations

Following the announcement of The SNA Conference cancellation that was scheduled for February, the Southern Nursery Association (SNA) has revealed that in a unanimous vote, the board of directors has made the difficult decision to cease operation of the 121-year-old organization. Since the conference is the association’s main source of income and with declining membership, the board determined that the business cannot be sustained.

The SNA produced one of the industry’s largest trade shows from 1950 — 2009, the SNA Research Conference from 1955 to 2020, and the SNA Plant Conference from 1991 to 2020.

Selecta One releases 2021 poinsettia catalog

Selecta One has announced the debut of its 2021 Poinsettia catalog — a 45-page resource filled with “exciting new product launches, production tips from experts and a closer look at its supply chain network.” The catalog focuses on “Only the best, for your success,” per the press release, in which Selecta One outlines “its highest quality poinsettia assortment sourced from the most reliable supply chain while providing solutions to cover all your growing needs.”

“Selecta One wants to be your poinsettia-growing partner from start to finish,” says Product and Technical Support Manager Gary Vollmer, who provides ‘Gary’s Notes’ on each poinsettia series throughout the catalog. “We trialed extensively to cover every region, pot size and season so you can have the most successful poinsettia season yet.”
