The theme for the 25th Seeley Conference at Cornell Univ. in Ithaca, N.Y., June 27-29, is “Floriculture’s Environmental Footprint: an Inconvenient Truth or Consumer Opportunity?” The conference will examine critical environmental issues facing the horticulture industry and look at how businesses are beginning to integrate environmental considerations.
Some of the topics that will be discussed include:

* Green Business Trends & Driving Forces
* The Sustainable Sites Initiative
* Making the Grade: developing and implementing environmental/sustainable programs
* What Exactly is Our Footprint?
This year’s program chair is Charlie Hall, professor and Ellison Chair in International Floriculture at Texas A&M University.
