A Place to Grow Greenhouses held its grand opening on Feb. 1 in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
The business builds greenhouses out of recycled and reclaimed materials and was founded by Dana and Sean O'Brien, California Polytechnic State University graduates. On its website, there are "stories" about some of its structures, detailing where the materials originated and how they were used in the construction of a new greenhouse.
The Sage Flower Kiosk at Sage Nursery in Los Osos, Calif. was built from old fence boards, French doors, windows, barn wood, retailing wall wood, surplus sheet metal, corrugated metal roofing, and windows, which had been replaced. You can see the structure here.
