Plantsman Adrian Bloom along with his late father has been responsible for introducing nearly 200 perennials to the marketplace, including selections from other breeders. Bloom has released a new book, “Blooms Best Perennials and Grasses: Expert Plant Choices and Dramatic Combinations for Year-Round Gardens” that covers 250 reliable plants that are beautiful, easy to maintain and provide year-round interest.
In conjunction with the book launch, Bloom has scheduled several speaking and book signing events:
Sept. 22: Perennial Plant Association Northeast Regional Symposium at the Mass. Horticultural Society in Wellesley, Mass. Pre-registration required.
Sept. 23: the Cape Cod garden of Paul Miskovsky. Reservations required.
Sept. 25: Expert Plant Choices and Dramatic Combinations for Year-Round Gardens lectures at the Glen Sanders Mansion in Scotia, N.Y. Pre-registration required.
Sept. 28: Univ. of Vt. Davis Center in Burlington, 2 lectures, lunch and book signing during the day. An informal gathering at Rocky Dale Gardens in Bristol, Vt., in the evening. Pre-registration required.
