AgriNomix expanding facility

The company's third such expansion will increase its manufacturing capabilities at its Oberlin, Ohio site.

AgriNomix, a provider of automation equipment and solutions for the horticultural industry, has broken ground on a build-out that will enable the company to expand its current manufacturing capabilities at its Oberlin, Ohio headquarters.

The 15,000-square-foot expansion project will be completed by November and will increase the company's operation to more than 70,000 square feet under roof, according to Robert Lando, AgriNomix president.

Along with the build-out, AgriNomix plans to increase its workforce with numerous new hires over the next three years. The project marks the third building expansion for AgriNomix, which was founded 21 years ago.

"We've invested virtually everything we have into remaking AgriNomix into more of a designer and builder of quality machinery to accommodate the changing needs of our clients," said Lando. "Beginning with the economic downturn in 2008 we hired engineers, built a machine library and created processes that have enabled us to roll out new products more rapidly. We've put everything on the line to develop our own products since then, and between the advancements of our high-tech European partners, the strength of our own manufacturing and engineering ability, and the superior level of our customer service, this expansion is truly an indication that we've hit that sweet spot."
