The Wholesale Florist & Florist Supplier Association names its best new products each year at its annual convention. This year’s winners include three plants.
La Plazoleta in Bogota, Colombia, won the fresh-cut flowers category with Tao Scented Limoniums. This odorless limonium can be scented with vanilla, cinnamon, baby powder, mint or rose.
PT Flora Pacific in Bali, Indonesia, won the fresh-cut greens category with Microsorium musifolium Crocodyllus (crocodile fern). The long-lasting fern features a crocodile-skin texture.
Resendiz Brothers Protea Growers in Fallbrook, Calif., won the flowering potted plant category with Leucospermum (pincushion plant). It produces colorful pincushion flower heads from early spring through summer.
The association also chooses winners in non-plant categories.
