Following a long history in the annuals and perennials market, Ball Horticultural Co. now offers ornamental trees, shrubs and perennials for the nursery trade.
Ball Ornamentals are available bare root and as liners.
The company is looking for breeder and grower partners. Its suppliers include Green Valley Growers in Willis, Texas; Pacific Plug & Liner in Watsonville, Calif.; Old Courthouse Growers in Warsaw, N.C.; and Ball Tagawa Growers in Arroyo Grande, Calif.
The initial lineup of Ball Ornamentals includes Abelia ‘Lavender Mist,’ ‘Plum Surprise’ and ‘Raspberry Profusion’; Agonis flexuosa ‘After Dark’ and ‘Burgundy’; Campsis x tagliabuana ‘Kudian’; Cercis canadensis ‘Forest Pansy’; Lagerstroemia indica Dynamite; Photinia x fraseri Cracklin’ Red and Fireball Red; Physocarpus opulifolius ‘Tuilad’; and Rhaphiolepis indica ‘Oriental Pearl.’
Besides trees, shrubs and perennials, Ball Ornamentals also offers grafted specialty products and grafted citrus and grapevines.
