California Congressman Dennis Cardoza announced that his state will receive more than $13 million to address plant pest and disease issues. The funding is part of the 2008 Farm Bill. USDA released $45 million with California receiving the largest share of the funding. The money is being made available to state ag departments, universities and other organizations in support of 200 projects that address pest and disease issues.
