The Pacific Gas & Electric Company will hold free webinar classes in June as part of its education and training program centered around energy management for agricultural businesses.
Provided by Energy Resources Integration, the new classes will address resiliency and renewables for indoor agriculture. They will also provide guidance for growers and design professionals on incorporating efficiency, electrification and on-site energy generation strategies into their operations to build resilience plans.

Class: Indoor Agriculture Resiliency
Time: Thursday, June 12, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
This intermediate class will examine resiliency for indoor agricultural facilities. Discuss efficiency, electrification and on-site energy generation strategies and how growers can combine them to build resilience plans for the short and long term.
Class: Renewables for Indoor Agriculture Growers and Greenhouses
Time: Tuesday, June 17, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
This introductory class will delve into how to integrate renewable energy sources such as solar, combined heat and power with CO2 recapture and geothermal into indoor farming systems. Key topics include the fundamentals of renewable energy technologies, common system integrations and selecting the appropriate renewable energy systems.
