A California Spring Trials bus tour for members of the greenhouse and floriculture industries is being planned for March 26-29. University horticulture professors Mark Bridgen and Neil Mattson at Cornell Univ. and Roberto Lopez at Purdue Univ. have organized this educational trip to several of the key Spring Trial display stops. The tour provides an opportunity to meet fellow growers, breeders and other plant and allied trade company representatives. Participants will have an opportunity to share ideas, see new plants and products and marketing concepts and to update their understanding of what’s happening in the industry.
This is the second year that the trip has been offered. In 2010, the tour traveled from north to south. This year, the trip begins in San Diego traveling north for four days visiting several stops that were not part of the 2010 tour, including Ecke Ranch and Proven Winners.
Space is limited. Participants must register by Feb. 18 to reserve a seat for the trip.
