BioWorks announced that CEASE, an aqueous suspension biofungicide, is now available in Canada. CEASE has been sold in the U.S. ornamental market since 2008.
Based on a naturally occurring, patented strain of Bacillus subtilis (strain QST 713), CEASE is a broad spectrum biofungicide targeting common fungal and bacterial diseases such as Botrytis, Pseudomonas, Xanthomonas, powdery and downy mildews, gummy stem blight, leaf spot and speck, anthracnose and rust, according to BioWorks. It can be applied on greenhouse, nursery and outdoor ornamentals, and greenhouse vegetables. It is also approved for organic use.
Other products BioWorks offers in Canda include RootShield Biological Fungicide, MilStop Foliar Fungicide and BotaniGard Mycoinsecticide. The product line is currently distributed through Koppert Canada Limited.
