According to the Connecticut Landscape & Nursery Association (CNLA), Charlie Kurtz, owner of CK Greenhouses, bought the Kurt Weiss Greenhouse facility in Cheshire, Conn., one of the state’s top two largest greenhouse ranges. The purchase gives his company a combined total of more than 1 million square feet of greenhouse production space. CNLA says Kurtz made the purchase because he needed more space to keep up with his customers. Formed in 1995, CK Greenhouses is one of the state’s biggest agricultural businesses.
