Fresh cut flowers top Cosmopolitan magazine’s list of “7 Gifts Not to Buy This Holiday.” The reason to avoid giving flowers, specifically fresh bouquets, is that people traveling for the holidays, on vacation or away from the office won’t be around to take care of the arrangement. According the magazine, by the time people return those arrangements will be “droopy and dead.” The article recommends an alternate gift of a mix tape 2.0.
Other gifts that have drawbacks include: cheese of the month club; DVD of his new favorite movie (guess this doesn’t apply to women); a pretty top from a boutique; a weekly cooking (knitting, salsa or writing) class; credit card gift cards; a beer-making kit and $50 gift card to some super pricey store.
