Costa Farms acquires Bernecker’s Nursery

Costa Farms, headquartered in Miami, Fla., has acquired Bernecker’s Nursery, an interior tropical plant grower in Homestead, Fla. Costa Farms expects the acquisition will enable it to expand its customer base of independent garden centers and interiorscapers and will open new markets for its interior foliage business.
Costa Farms obtained the rights to the Bernecker’s name and certain business assets and will continue to service its existing customer base of independent garden centers and interiorscapers that cater to “green” buildings, offices and businesses. Costa Farms will maintain production at Bernecker’s locations in south Florida of interior tropical plants.
