Fabian Saenz, vice president of Costa Farms Far East Division, will be speaking at this year’s World Ornamental Horticulture Summit, taking place in the Yanqing district of Beijing from Sept. 11 - 13.
Entitled ‘International Growers Making Business in China,' Mr. Saenz will deliver a talk outlining how Costa Farms has built strong cooperation with China to expand its global business into the Chinese market. This will also include the opportunities presented by this expansion and how the company has managed challenges along the way.
Saenz has been responsible for establishing and developing Costa Farms Far East Division in just 11 years. Today the business is one of the largest producers of ornamental plants in the world. It stretches over approximately 4,500 acres and employs more than 4,000 people.
Along with indoor and bedding plant divisions, Costa Farms operates a retail merchandising division as part of its infrastructure in the United States, Dominican Republic, and China. Saenz will offer the audience knowledge from his own professional experience.
“Bringing business to the Far East has made the world a smaller and faster place. It opens doors to numerous opportunities," Saenz says.
For any grower, breeder, manufacturer and technology supplier in the ornamentals industry considering or currently undertaking a business venture in China, the World Ornamental Horticulture Summit 2019 is the event of the year.
Divided under three main focus areas, summit speakers will address intellectual property in China, expanding business in China, and the Chinese consumer market. The speaker line-up includes a raft of professional experts including Biense Visser, Dummen Orange, Edgar Krieger, and more.
