Cultivate’15 is quickly approaching. The largest show of the year will see a host of educational sessions, tours of local green operations, a sprawling show floor and networking opportunities around every corner.
“Cultivate is our favorite show,” says CropKing President Paul Brentlinger, “It’s a diverse group of people that we get to interact with and we’re excited to have a large booth this year.”
This year, CropKing’s booth, #435, will be composed of a 30-foot replica of a gutter connect greenhouse.
The Ohio-based company will debut a number of products and new catalogue offerings at the show. Among their new items will be a greenhouse LED, a new double-ended HPS ballast, which will be a more efficient per watt fixture than previous offerings, and two new channel designs.
Brentlinger says there will be a single-piece channel offering and a two-piece channel. The single-piece will offer more rigidity for growers, allowing them to pick up a 12-foot section and have it remain stiffer for movement purposes.
The new two-piece channel is skinnier, allowing growers to fit two channels, as opposed to one, into the same 8-inch space. That will allow growers to keep channels together for longer. Along with the new two-piece channel design, a new end-cap will also be debuted. Ports for feed tubes will be pre-molded into the end-cap, so growers don’t have to drill them.
