There's more to cucumbers than taste and good health. Here are five non-nutritional benefits. 1. Tightens skin. The photochemical in cucumber makes the collagen in your skin tighten, that’s why women put cucumber peels on their eyelids. It has the same effect on wrinkles.
2. Defog mirrors. Use a slice of cucumber before you enter the shower to clean fog from your bathroom mirror. When you come out the mirror will be fog-free.
3. Relieves headaches: If you suffer from headaches or want to avoid a hangover, eat half of a cucumber before bed. Cucumbers are high in vitamins, sugar, and electrolytes; they replenish nutrients that are missing from the body during sleep.
4. Lubricates like WD-40. You can get rid of a squeaking door by rubbing a cucumber on its hinge.
5. Erases crayon markes. You can erase crayon marks from a wall by taking an unpeeled cucumber and rubbing it on the wall where the crayon mark is.
