In observance of Earth Day and for the opportunity to support organic gardening, Daniels Plant Food participated as a sponsor of Earth Day Texoma, a free festival with workshops, music and environmental stewardship. On April 16 the company handed out bottles of its organic-based plant food through the Sherman Community Garden, and donated a 4.7-gallon jug and sprayer to the society for its use.
Daniels employees also constructed raised vegetable garden beds in the parking lot of the company’s Sherman, Texas, headquarters, and filled the beds with vegetable plants donated by Bonnie Plants. The garden’s vegetables will be donated to the Grayson County Homeless Shelter in Denison, Texas, and the Grayson County Crisis Shelter in Sherman.
