Darwin Perennials day to be held on June 21

See the latest varieties and hear industry experts in West Chicago June 21

The third annual Darwin Perennials Day, which will showcase the newest perennials for North America, will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2012. Visitors to The Gardens at Ball in West Chicago will see the latest varieties for 2013, compare top-selling plants in the Zone 5 overwintered trial gardens and meet industry experts.

Darwin Perennials Day is open from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., and includes a grab ’n go breakfast and sit-down luncheon. Besides viewing the newest varieties of bareroot, vegetative and tissue culture, other event highlights will include seed-raised perennials from Kieft-Pro-Seeds, lowering shrubs from Ball Ornmentals, mixed container ideas with perennials, educational seminars and industry-acclaimed speakers.

“This is our third annual Darwin Perennial Day, and it has become a must-see event for growers interested in perennial program information, culture and new varieties,” says Mike Klopmeyer, General Manager for Darwin Perennials. “Guests will find all the tools they need to succeed from just one day dedicated to perennials.”
