David Foltz has been named president of Ivy Acres Inc. in Calverton, N.Y. Ivy Acres, which operates about 23 acres of greenhouses, is a producer of annuals and other plants for mass market retailers. Foltz founded HBS Inc., a sales consulting company in 2008.
He was vice president of sales and marketing at Kurt Weiss Greenhouses Inc., where he was employed for 14 years. During his tenure with Kurt Weiss, the company grew to be the largest grower in the U.S. with 18 locations totaling over 11 million sq. ft. He facilitated the company’s growth from a pot plant producer to a provider of plant-related items and services to mass market retailers.
