RUSSELL, Ill. – DeVroomen Garden Products has acquired Simple Pleasures Flowerbulbs and Perennials from Weeks Roses. Terms of the agreement have not been disclosed at this time. DeVroomen Garden Products is a wholesale supplier of bulbs and perennials.
“Our acquisition of the Simple Pleasures brand comes at an exciting time for DeVroomen as we enter our 90th year in the business," said Roland Van Den Bergh, chief operating officer of DeVroomen. "While much of the industry is contracting, we are experiencing rapid growth and acquiring the Simple Pleasures brand will only enhance our upward climb.”
Randy Poe, general manager of Weeks Roses added “although the bulbs and perennials are a valuable part of our business, this transaction allows us to focus on our core products and growing our leadership position. We will continue to sell Simple Pleasures and with the help of DeVroomen we know there will be no impairment to the delivery schedules as a result of the sale”
