Attention growers, propagators and others interested in the latest in greenhouse technology: the Dutch Agricultural Counselor’s office has debuted a new portal, www.hollandhorticulture.com, designed to help interested parties make connections in the world of high-tech horticulture and floriculture.
The Dutch greenhouse sector has long been a world frontrunner in all aspects of optimizing greenhouse production, including water and energy usage, greenhouse construction techniques, LED multi-layer production, seed hybridization, greenhouse research and more.
“The U.S., Canada and the Netherlands are top producers of quality horticulture and floriculture products,” says Martin Olde Monnikhof, the Dutch agricultural counselor, “There’s much we can gain from working together in the field of new varieties, innovative technologies, greenhouse expertise, and sustainable production practices. It’s time to make connections!”
The HollandHorticulture.com portal is hosted on the popular HollandFoodPartner.com, a cooperative effort of the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Washington, D.C. and the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency dedicated to the food production industry. The horticultural section of the web site focuses on production of both food and flower crops.
