Wilsonville, Ore. (Aug. 1, 2017) – Terri McEnaney, president of Bailey Nurseries, will deliver this year’s free keynote address at the 2017 Farwest Show, Aug. 23-25, in Portland, Ore. McEnaney, an industry leader in the U.S. and around the world, will speak on Wednesday, Aug. 23, at 11 a.m. in Room C123-124. Her talk, "Connections: Cultivating Your Company and Your Professional Life" will focus on relationships between growers and individuals as key drivers for a thriving horticulture industry.
McEnaney’s insights will be relevant to the industry’s emerging generation and established professionals alike. Through her experience as the leader of a 112-year-old, fifth-generation family-owned company, she will stress the importance in forging connections throughout one’s career to drive professional and business success.
McEnaney is a fourth generation leader in her family’s nursery business. The Bailey brand has maintained its family-owned roots for more than 112 years and is celebrating its 40th anniversary of expansion to Oregon. She took over as president in 2001 and has been instrumental in the nursery’s growth for more than 25 years. She has served on the board of many notable organizations, including, among others, AmericanHort, Horticultural Research Institute and HRI’s Seed Your Future Initiative.
