BURLINGAME, California — Flowerbud.com, an e-commerce flower company that offers U.S.-grown flowers, has acquired californiablooms.com, a boutique rose site focused on providing environmentally friendly roses direct from Central California.
In Flowerbud’s 20 years in existence, the acquisition of californiablooms.com is its first, flowerbud.com general manager Marcy Lepine said in a press release.
“We see a kindred spirit in California Blooms, with similar values and an amazing product, [and] we are pleased to offer the same stunning domestically grown roses and many other beautiful flowers,” Lepine said.
California Blooms CEO Mark Skorlich said in the release that the company is glad to offer customers more flower choices aside from roses.
“California Blooms has been my personal project for more than 9 years and I felt strongly that we needed to hand it off to a company that was aligned with our principal of offering consumers only the highest quality, American-grown, and environment-friendly roses,” Skorlich said.
