The North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE) has published two free Freight Efficiency Executive Reports on its website. The reports are part of NACFE’s effort to help the trucking industry accelerate the rate of adoption of freight efficient products, technologies and practices.
The reports, one on 6x2 tractors and the other on wide base single tires, offer a balanced investigation, providing both the improved performance and economic considerations, while also being sure to identify any potential consequences of their use. Additional reports will be published in the future, and the industry is invited to comment on the various reports, or even suggest further areas of investigation for future NACFE Freight Efficiency Executive Reports.
NACFE will hold its third Driving Innovation meeting in conjunction with the NTEA/CALSTART Green Truck Summit and NTEA Work Truck Show at the Indianapolis Convention Center on March 9, 1:30 to 5 p.m. Guest speaker will be Kevin Rutherford of Trucking Business & Beyond, Road Dog Sirius 147 XM 171 and an expert panel will discuss the current state of freight efficiency in North America. Registration is free and requested.
