On March 12, GLASE will hold a webinar discussing how average daily temperature (ADT) and daily light integral (DLI) can be adjusted to improve crop timing, maximize biomass production and increase crop quality. Two Michigan State University researchers, Roberto Lopez and Kellie Walters, will discuss how the growth, development and color of culinary herbs is influenced by ADT and DLI. They will share research on crops including sweet basil, purple basil, sage and spearmint, giving research-backed tips on how to use these environmental parameters to improve crop yield and quality.
