Greenhouse manufacturer and builder Van der Hoeven is constructing a greenhouse with solar panels with a surface area of six hectares, near Bari in southern Italy. This Novi-SOL greenhouse will be able to generate green power in an efficient, reliable and environmentally-friendly manner. The design is based on a Venlo greenhouse with one side fitted with continuous cabrio ventilation. The other, south-facing side, will have frameless panels. In total, Van der Hoeven will place about 17,000 solar panels on the Novi-SOL greenhouse as part of this project. The panels will generate a total capacity of about 4 megawatts in green energy.
