A 56-ft. wide by 110-ft. long greenhouse from Conley’s Greenhouse Manufacturing is part of the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando. Grower Structures in Bradenton, Fla., designed and re-engineered the A-frame structure to meet the specifications required by Universal Studios, Warner Brothers and Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, reports the Bradenton Herald.
Robert Seybold, owner of Grower Structures, told the newspaper that the $250,000 project was a challenge and that the custom-made building wasn’t an easy design.
The traditional greenhouse style used for the building was different from the modern curved greenhouses that Seybold is used to constructing. He told the paper that more money was probably spent on theming than was spent on the cost of the actual construction.
