Natural Industries announces that its biological insecticide, NoFly WP, has been registered for sale with the Florida Department of Agriculture. NoFly WP has been approved for use in greenhouse ornamental crops against whiteflies, aphids, thrips and other insect pests.
The new mycoinsecticide contains live spores of Paecilomyces fumosoroseus strain FE 9901, a naturally occurring fungus that attacks all stages of the insect life cycle. As part of an integrated pest management program, NoFly WP is effective against heavy pest infestations at two to four pounds per acre.
Within the next year, Natural Industries expects the NoFly WP label to be expanded to include food crops, outdoor agriculture production, turf grass and many other use sites.
