The Perennial Farm of Glen Arm, Md. is utilizing QR coding on all of its plant labels. But instead of pulling up generic information, when a QR code is scanned a short pithy video by Dr. Allan Armitage will play. Dr. Armitage is a well-known writer, speaker and researcher throughout the world and has studied annuals, perennials, cut flowers and greenhouse crops internationally. He has introduced new plants and research at the Trial Gardens at UGA that are well known throughout the world. In the videos, Dr. Armitage will explain the attributes of the plant. Viewers will then be taken to Perennial Farm’s website.
