A new introduction to the Digitalis line, Planthaven’s Digitalis Goldcrest (Waldigone) has down-facing bell-shaped flowers in sunset hues of yellow-peach and maroon-red markings with dark green foliage. Hardy and well-branched, its stems are strong and upright for cutting. This hybrid Foxglove is sterile and blooms continuously from midsummer into early fall. With a compact habit it grows to 2 feet tall and works well for front borders. It can be placed in part shade to full sun. It’s also attractive to hummingbirds.
