Litchfield, Michigan - Downy Mildew disease on Impatiens wallerana is an increasing concern for greenhouse growers, and the evidence is indicating that growers need to take this disease very seriously.
To help grower customers battle this devastating disease, Raker has initiated a preventive disease control program. All Raker Impatiens wallerana will be treated preventively prior to shipment for the disease. Growers are strongly advised to continue a preventive program as part of their production plan.
There are many good articles available on-line that give specific information about the identification, transmission, and factors that increase/decrease the probability of infection.
