In 2014, Mason Day and Seth Reed set out to connect people to plants through a digital platform called GrowIt!. In 2015 GrowIt! started dattracting consumers, with 50 percent of them being in the Millennial generation. Since GrowIt's consumer release in March of this year, it has seen more than 57,000 new users, more than 27,000 shared photos and more than 500,000 plant ratings.
The app developers have taken a step forward in building their team and our community by hiring Megan Uithoven as the new Community Engagement Manager of GrowIt!. Uithoven will help ensure the teak is taking the right steps toward building a sizable and engaged community.
Uithoven will be responsible for developing GrowIt! internal communications, user engagement and content curation strategies. Additionally, she will be responsible for new app features that will be developed to heighten user engagement. Uithoven has experience as the community manager of SocialMedia.com, a networking service for professional social media account managers. The GrowIt! develepers are confident that Uithoven will help take GrowIt! to the next level as the team rolls out enhancements over the next several months.
