LAKELAND, Fla. -- In 2012, Harrell’s made a commitment to Grow a Better World by joining the fight against breast cancer. Through the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides event, friends, family, customers, and employees helped to raise over $30,000 in support of the Making Strides event and other American Cancer Society efforts.
This year, Harrell's is encouraging its employees to participate in their local Making Strides walks.
To donate to any team, visit www.makingstrideswalk.org. Also, from that website, you can start your own team or join a team and walk with thousands of fellow fund raisers as they walk through your local community. The walks are normally held on Saturday mornings during October. Each event normally has festivities, games, music, and lots of activities for kids.
