General inspection tips:
- Perform an overall inspection of all boiler room systems and equipment at least twice daily or per shift.
During inspection, be sure to check or monitor:
- Operating pressure
- Water levels
- Boiler vessel (Jacket, Fire Side and Water Side Seals)
- Power burner operation
- All piping complete boiler room
- Make-up feed water system
- All electrical (panels, connections, flex and conduit)
- Fuel supply system (meters, traps, vents, piping, etc.)
- Combustion door lugs, seals and exhaust stack
