Intrinsic Perennial Gardens, Inc. has announced the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth introductions in its cocktail of Geum.

Geum x ‘Dark and Stormy’ PPAF, ‘Spanish Fly’ PPAF and ‘Wet Kiss’ PPAF make up the new additions to the group.
‘Dark and Stormy’ emerges dark reddish orange fading to a clear orange color with both colors showing at the same time. ‘Spanish Fly’ has single gold flowers tipped in red, held on red stems. ‘Wet Kiss’, vermillion red flowers are also borne on burgundy red stems and fade to a peachy orange.
The new Geums start blooming in late April or May and continue around three to four weeks or more. The short clumping plants reach around 10 inches tall and wide; with the stems reaching at least 18 inches tall. The plants prefer a moist-to-well drained soil in full sun. The foliage is
semi-evergreen.
semi-evergreen.These hybrid plants are longer lived than the older chiloense varieties of Geum. Their hardiness is zones 4-9. These plants do their growing at the cool times of the season, so they can be planted in late winter, early spring or early fall. They combine well with other Geum and early bloomers like Polemonium ‘Heaven Scent’ PP#20,214.
