The International Plant Propagator’s Society (IPPS) Eastern Region will host its annual plant production conference October 19-22 at the Seelbach Hilton Hotel in Louisville, Ky.
This year’s conference is entitled: “Be a Front Runner.” The program includes talks, tours, plant auctions, and the chance to talk one-on-one with key plant industry professionals.
Dr. Charlie Hall of Texas A&M University will deliver the keynote address, focusing on what's really bogging down the economy and what 2012 and beyond has in store for the green industry.
Other notable speakers include Harlan Hamernik (Bluebird Nursery), Ed Snodgrass (Emory Knoll Farms), Wolfgang Eberts (Baumschule Eberts, Germany) and Lloyd Traven (Peace Tree Farm).

There will be a full day Pre-Conference Tour on Wednesday, Oct. 19 and afternoon tours on Thursday and Friday. A banquet and plant auction will be held Friday evening.
