Giant "murder" hornet spotted in U.S. for the first time a threat to growers that use pollinators

According to a report from CBS News, a giant bee-killing species of hornet has been spotted in Washington state, the first sighting ever in the U.S. The report indicates that the roughly 2-inch long insect, Vespa mandarinia, (the Asian giant hornet) decapitates bees en masse and takes over their colonies in short order.
