CARLETON, Mich. – Four Star has welcomed Josh Miller as the new product development manager and Tom Brown as logistics and customer fulfillment manager.
Miller will be responsible to evaluating new plant breeding and facilitating marketing and promotion of new products.
He comes to Four Star with 20 years of diverse experience in nursery production, management, horticulture and facility operations. He taught greenhouse management and urban horticulture and sustainability at Owens Community College, OH.
With his horticulture degree from Owens Community College, Miller was exposed to world-class nursery production working as an intern at Willoway Nurseries. After working for established family greenhouse and nursery operations in Toledo, Ohio and Ann Arbor, Michigan, Miller moved from the private sector to managing horticulture and facility operations at the Toledo Botanical Garden.
Miller is a life-long resident of southeast Michigan, where he currently lives in his childhood home with his family.
In his new position, Brown will be responsible for the shipping, logistics and freight management functions of customer fulfillment, exceeding service level expectations.
Brown joins the Four Star team with more than 28 years of management experience in transportation, logistics and customer service, including operations, sales and third-party logistics.
Brown’s goal at Four Star is to apply his logistics experience, improve internal processes, and enhance the overall customer experience. Brown lives in Tecumseh, Michigan with his wife Kellie.
