Marrone Bio Innovations, a provider of biopesticides headquartered in Davis, Calif., is one of 14 companies honored as “Game Changers of the Year” for its innovation. The awards were announced by Chico, Calif.,-based Grow California, which is a spin-off of Golden Capital Network of Chico.
MBI and others were recognized for their innovations using technology, raising capital, teaching and community work. The 14 winning companies were chosen from 300 nominations, submitted by dozens of California-based professional services firms, suppliers, investors, banks, academia and trade organizations. The criteria included identifying ag companies that are distinguished from others because of their focus on innovation and contributions to California's economic growth.
