Effective July 1, McGregor Plant Sales no longer carries Florexpo unrooted cuttings as part of its starter plant program. McGregor is offering product through a new and expanded supplier network. The decision was made after years of challenges with the Florexpo program. During the last few years McGregor worked to correct these challenges.
“Over the course of the past 18 months, we’ve been very proactive in sourcing alternatives for the Florexpo program and establishing partnerships with other suppliers,” said McGregor president Cathy McClintock. “As part of this process, we’ve added producers, partnered with existing and well-respected unrooted cutting providers, and most notably, entered into an agreement that allows us to hold private stock at Danziger’s location in Kenya.”
These efforts enable McGregor to offer an expanded breadth and depth of varieties. McClintock is confident that customers will start to see an improvement in quality, consistency and reliability of the products.
