Millstadt Young Plants and N.G. Heimos Greenhouses set date for 11th Annual Poinsettia Trial & Open House

Millstadt Young Plants and N.G. Heimos Greenhouses will host its 2018 Poinsettia Trials & Open House on Thursday, Nov. 15, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The open house will showcase a comparison trial of hundreds of Poinsettia varieties from six different breeders: Ball/Selecta, Beekenkamp, Dümmen Orange, Rinehart, Suntory and Syngenta.

Plants will be finished under natural light conditions and a short day or black cloth conditions.

Breakfast and lunch will be sponsored by the breeders.

The 2018 Featured Speakers are:

• Raymond Cloyd, Kansas State University
• Janna Beckerman, Purdue University
