The National Poinsettia Trials will feature three open houses in 2009. Dec. 2 at Homewood Nurseries and North Carolina State Univ., Raleigh, N.C.; Dec. 4 at Purdue Univ., West Lafayette, Ind.; and Dec. 8 at the Univ. of Florida, Gainesville, Fla. The trial sites have all the latest cultivars on the bench and under indoor lighting in some cases – ready for growers to judge. Other poinsettia research projects will also be on display including cold finishing, sustainable trials, PGRS and novel container combinations.
