Greenhouse growers who are seeing a drop in business may want to add some house plant offering to their websites. Despite the downturn in green industries due to the COVID-19 crisis, there has been a huge spike in curbside and online house plant purchases in New York and New Jersey, according to a report from the New York Post.

The report attributes the huge increase in "black thumbed" stay-at-homes buying the plants because of the extra time at home due to the coronavirus: Suddenly daily plant care is a breeze.
