Oasis Grower Solutions launches Oasis Eleganz Liquid Leaf Clean, Shine and Protect

Oasis Grower Solutions has launched OASIS Eleganz Liquid Leaf Clean, Shine and Protect, a proprietary concentrate for potted foliage growers and retailers to remove production residue, enhance natural plant beauty and safeguard the value of foliage crops. 

Powered by FloraLife, Oasis Eleganz was developed with the rigors of commercial plant production in mind, the company said in a news release.

“This product development has been a long time coming because we set ourselves a high bar. We wanted something all-in-one, scalable and economical,” said Vijay Rapaka, Ph.D., director of global grower operations and research for Oasis Grower Solutions' parent company Smithers-Oasis. “Think of it like taking a car through a wash tunnel — presoak, foam, scrub, rinse, wax and dry — all happening step by step. This product delivers every one of those steps in a single pass — and it does it without phytotoxicity.”

The company said Oasis Eleganz:

• Scales for labor-saving application by growers or retailers of all sizes, with a water-soluble formula that can be applied via handheld, backpack or boom sprayers.
• Lifts and cleans production residue from foliage.
• Enhances the natural matte or glossy appearance of foliage. (Dilution rates can be adjusted to control shine intensity.)
• Helps guard against excessive moisture loss and preserve shelf life in retail conditions.
• Enhances retail appeal and sell-through.
  

OASIS Eleganz is the first postharvest research collaboration between Oasis Grower Solutions and FloraLife, both divisions of Smithers-Oasis. Rapaka said that researchers from the two divisions worked together to develop the proprietary formulation specifically for commercial foliage growers.

FloraLife Postharvest Scientist Mominul Hoque and Oasis Grower Solutions Plant Scientist Erin Yafuso, Ph.D., led their respective division teams.
